Music Video Differences

Big Tymers created a music video for the song 'Still Fly' when they first brought it to the public. The video basically represents a bunch of black people showing off all the cars and money they have. They have a bunch of random ass chicks chillin in parts of the videos dancing on eachother. It's a very stereotypical video in which black people flaunt what they have if they have it. The Devil Wears Prada on the other hand, did not remake a video. The fans of DWP create their own videos of the new song. Some kids play the song on their instruments and others actually just make a video of themselves just having fun. Many people take videos of DWP at shows when they are performing the song. I think that is more realistic than the stereotypical showing off how much money Big Tymers has and how they spend it. The song 'Still Fly' to Big Tymers is how they live their lives, but when DWP created the song, they sing it for fun and other people create their own videos/slideshows of DWP pictures and clips from shows. Sometimes it's sweet to see all the nice cars and such in the original 'Still Fly,' but i prefer to see the bands on stage in a video with the intense amounts of people around all listening to the music and jumping to it, not just a bunch of nasty hoes that conducted AIDS prancing around in a video.

the DWP version seems to rely more on the sound than the lyrics. They've done some really cool things with the vocals/instrumental stuff but this would be impossible for me to tell waht the words were if I didn't hear the Big Tymers version first. Just a thought.
